The magical Indian summer

Come to Burgundy in autumn!

The vineyards, hills and meadows bathe in the warm sunlight and take on the shades of autumn. The air is still filled with the scent of the grape harvest, replaced little by little with the aromas of the soil and mushrooms.

Winter will be a warm and cosy one in Burgundy!

Winter is beginning to settle in Burgundy. The sun pierces through the white smoke from the anti-frost candles that have been lit throughout the vineyard. The temperatures are dropping, and nature is going into hibernation.

This is the perfect time to experience the warm hospitality from the locals of Burgundy: relax in a spa in Joigny, in front of the fireplace in a hotel or in a gite in the Morvan, or with a glass of wine at the Saint-Vincent Tournante event.

City breaks and picturesque villages

When spring arrives, the towns of Burgundy come to life: the parks and terraces are filled once again and children can be seen playing in the fountains.

What are you waiting for? Head to Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, and wander the pedestrian streets; Beaune, capital of wines; Auxerre and Joigny, along the banks of the Yonne; Mâcon, on the banks of the Saône or go and explore Nevers, on the west banks of the Loire.

Not-to-mention our picturesque villages!

Follow the waters

Just picture yourself on the water's edge, feet in the water (well almost!), sitting on a blanket and watching nature wake up all around you. There are 1,200 kilometres of rivers and canals in Burgundy to enjoy!

Whether you choose to enjoy the waterways on a barge hotel, on a boat trip or on a bicycle, just let the waters guide your way.

The towpaths are far from traffic and are very pleasant. The many cycle paths and Greenway cycle routes of the Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo® mean you can vary the pleasures.

Along the canals and rivers

As soon as the summer begins, Burgundy is transformed into a holiday destination. Near the Lac des Settons water sports centre, the school bags and books have been put aside and replaced with pedalo boats, kites, petanque and swimming!
