Chef Jean-Michel Lorain, owner of the Côte Saint-Jacques, is an ambassador for French fine-dining. After training in some of the greatest French establishments (Troisgros in Roanne) and Swiss restaurants (alongside Fredy Girardet in Crissier), he then joined his father and worked his way up before eventually taking over the reins.
He was awarded the Légion d’Honneur in 2018 by his friend and French actor Alain Delon and has also been awarded the green star for Sustainable Gastronomy. His achievements don't stop there as after travelling to Africa with his wife Karine (shown in the photo), they founded the association 'Dessine nous un avenir' (Draw us a future) in May 2019, with the goal of protecting biodiversity and wildlife.
