How about a romantic walk to admire the beautiful buildings in the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy? To make sure you don't miss any of the town's treasures, follow the Parcours de la Chouette (Owl Trail). On the programme: 22 steps, including the lucky charm of Dijon: the small owl sculpted into a buttress of Notre-Dame Cathedral. Touch it, look into each other's eyes and make a wish together.
Impress your other half at the museum
Head to the Fine Arts Museum and admire the beautiful artworks from a unique collection of paintings and sculptures. Among the 80,000 items are pieces from Delacroix, Monet or from a very different genre altogether, the famous Tombs of the Dukes of Burgundy. These funerary monuments also portray the mourners in all states of grief.
Day 2: fantastic views and a bike ride

Climb to the top of Philip-the-Good Tower. 46 metres, 316 steps, a challenge for your thighs and calf muscles.
Once you get to the top, you can congratulate your other half for getting there, and then just enjoy the panoramic view over the roofs and bell towers of Dijon, in your loved one's arms.

The cycle path that runs alongside the river Ouche is ideal for a romantic bike ride in the countryside.
On the way, stop off to see the Well of Moses, a masterpiece from the Middle Ages. It is spectacular and monumental, an artistic feat for that era.
