After the hectic pace of getting back to school and work after the summer holidays, we are all in need of a getaway. We have selected some places for you to stay, so you can come and enjoy the colours of autumn here.
You're guaranteed a change of scenery if you stay at one of these charming establishments, in medieval villages, charming little villages or at the heart of a Burgundy vineyard, where you'll be able to take full advantage of all the activities on offer during the season.
In the vineyard
Fans of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, you're in for a treat in our region! You'll be spoilt for choice, between the iconic Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne (Route of the Great Burgundy Wines), created in 1937, where the best wine list you've ever seen is literally produced before your eyes, and the pretty vineyard on the banks of the Loire with great vintage wines such as the famous Pouilly-Fumé, or the Mâconnais region and its charming winegrowing villages. Whatever your choice, your stay here is sure to be an unforgettable one.

Can you just picture yourselves pushing open the door to this pretty house in our romantic winegrowing region? This bed & breakfast is on a little hill in the centre of the village of Saint-Amour-Bellevue, and it has been in the Béranger family since the 18th century. Laurence will welcome you with open arms to her family's home, that has been tastefully restored.

You'll love wandering the cobbled streets of Noyers-sur-Serein and Vézelay, both of which are listed as "Most Beautiful Villages in France". Will you be able to recognise the sets of some of the iconic scenes from French film "La Grande Vadrouille" (Don't Look Now... We're Being Shot At!)? Your journey back in time continues with an exploration of the medieval town of Brançion and the feudal castle, and then the pretty towns of Tournus and La Charité-sur-Loire on the water's edge.
