Remarkable civil building
Tour Saint-Pierre-Fourier
A unique building in France, the staircase swinging in a wooden cylinder, piece and “secret” passage leading to a small renaissance room at the top of a tower. Access is via rue des Ursules (watch out for the many stairs). A moving atmosphere in the stall (1538) occupied in 1636 by Pierre Fourier, a famous Lorrainian priest, who devoted himself without counting and struggled until his death in 1640 against the horrors of the 10-year war (1635-1645). Only visits on appointment through the Tourist Office.
