Basilique Sainte Marie-Madeleine
Basilica of the XIIth century, jewel of the Romanesque art, whose nave (narthex) and its large portals as well as its frontage have just been restored. The basilica of Vézelay is one of the Romanesque churches with the most historiated capitals in the world. The sunlight plays with the building. At the summer solstice, a path of light leads the pilgrim from John the Baptist to the Conquering Lamb, the Christ of Light, evoked in the choir. A beautiful discovery to make! See you soon at our place!
