Le Barrage à aiguilles

The needle dam of Fleury built in 1837 on the commune of Biches is a rarity since it is one of the last 12 needle dams of the Nivernais canal and one of 124 existing in France
Its purpose was to create a water reservoir to feed the canal in case of insufficient level.
It constitutes a place of leisure appreciated by the local population and the estivants.
