With the Mai Musical de Meursault, we're delighted to invite you to a concert every weekend in May.
Get out and enjoy springtime music in our beautiful village of Meursault and in the surrounding villages, this year in Saint-Romain and Auxey-Duresses. Come and meet the people who love music and keep it alive, musicians from a wide variety of backgrounds, as well as the volunteers from our association.
(Re-)discover the recently restored Mutin-Cavaillé-Coll organ in the church of Saint-Nicolas de Meursault, flamboyant brass instruments, period instruments and young talent. This year's highlights include English (May 4) and French (May 26) baroque music from the 17th century, and organ and trumpet music through the centuries (May 11 and 18).
You can hear
4 May, church of Saint Romain, the Duo Coloquintes, with Alice Julien-Laferrière, violin, and Mathilde Vialle, viola da gamba
11 May, Meursault church, Leonhard Völlm, organ
18 May, Meursault church, the Trompettes de Versailles with Georges Bessonnet, organ, Fabien Verwaerde and Alexandre Oliveri, trumpets
26 May, Auxey-Duresses church, the Bacchus et Cupidon ensemble, with Lucile Bailly-Gourevitch, mezzo, Antoine Bonardot, harpsichord, and Louison Sailley, viola da gamba.
Unusual, original and relaxed, the Mai Musical de Meursault celebrates the return of the fine weather and will give you a foretaste of the village's major musical event, the Festival de Bach à Bacchus, taking place this year from 4 to 11 July.
