MACON

With its soft, round-tiled roofs and elegant quaysides on the banks of the Saône, Mâcon, the gateway to southern Burgundy, is a city where life is good. Already a southern city, it stretches along the right bank of the Saône, bordered by the Mâconnais mountains covered with vineyards and famous wines.
