The ancient abbey of Saint-Pierre, in Flavigny, which was built during the 17th century, is today home to the Maison Troubat Aniseed factory. Under the remains of the original abbey is a superb Carolingian crypt linked to a 12-pillar rotunda similar to the one in Saint-Bénigne, Dijon. In June, July and August, the factory organizes an aniseed exhibition and holds tasting sessions in the crypt’s storage area.
