On the border between the Morvan and the Auxois regions, on a 500m hill, Thil castle is one of France’s most ancient fortresses. Nowadays, you can still come and admire magnificent vestiges such as XII century cellars with romanesque and gothic vaults, a XIV century donjon, the five floor lookout tower. And go back to the past by participating in medieval games and fêtes, held in summer.
