A boat trip on the Nivernais canal
Head for the Nivernais canal to skipper your own boat, sailing past unspoilt natural sites and enjoying the peace and quiet of the water. No permit is required, so anyone can take the helm!

Visit the Château d'Ancy-le-Franc, an amazing Renaissance palace
Built in vast grounds for Antoine III of Clermont, brother-in-law of Diane de Poitiers, the château is home to one of the largest collections of wall paintings (16th and 17th century) kept in France today.
Richly-decorated apartments, a magnificent main courtyard, French-style and English-style gardens, and two newly-created plant beds that won a prize at the 2018 "Victoires du Paysage" landscaping awards.
