Saint-Vorles church
This beautiful, understated church standing on the banks of the source of the Douix features 11th-century architecture, bearing witness to the passing of time and the history of Châtillon-sur-Seine, where you can visit the Saint Sépulcre sculptural group, a 16th-century masterpiece.
Day 2 - In the great outdoors
Nature walk in the Cirque de la Coquille
The amazing landscape offers a real change of scene. Amid the limestone scree, steep slopes, pines clinging to the mountainside and all the mountain flora, you'd think you were in a volcanic crater.
From the centre of this vast corrie spurts the Coquille spring. The hollow carved out of this limestone plateau has created the most surprising mineral landscape. The fascination of humans turned this site into a place of worship as far back as the Gallic period and even today it remains steeped in legends about malicious fairies and kindly gods.
Site equipped with information panels, picnic areas, a 1.5 km discovery trail and a viewpoint.
