Your autumn bonus
The soft autumn light will illuminate the beautiful stones of this Cluniac site...
Don't miss Saint-Hippolyte where the monks of Cluny developed a deanery to administer the agricultural estate of which the church is the centre. A remarkable building in a quiet and peaceful environment in the heart of the beautiful Burgundy countryside!
This Romanesque church, whose existence is attested to around the year 1000, was the seat of a deanery of the Abbey of Cluny. In the 13th century, it was fortified to assert the power of the Abbey over the territory. Its restoration is underway, with the association "Le renouveau de Saint-Hippolyte".
