Local wine from the Nièvre. Riousse is a picturesque hamlet in the commune of Livry built on a hillside around a legendary fountain. Well exposed to the south, overlooking the Allier, the site has always been favourable for wine growing. The vineyard developed in the 18th century and reached its peak in the 19th century when it covered 300 hectares and had 300 winegrowers. Today it is the SCEA des Clos de Riousse which manages the 15 ha of plantations: Gamay, Chardonnay and Pinot noir grape varieties
