
Sources de l'Ignon
In the commune of Poncey-sur-l'Ignon, a wild site where you can discover a pure water spring cascading over the rocks. Natura 2000' site called 'Forêt de ravin à la source tufeuse de l'Ignon' which can be reached by taking the GR2 (difficult access path), marked in red and white, or by the RD971. This very varied natural area allows you to observe a deciduous forest, coniferous stands, a small poplar grove, copses, hedges and various wastelands, pasture or abandoned meadows, ploughed land, marshes, streams and tufa springs. This diversity of habitats allows for a wide variety of flora and fauna. Take the time to watch for a red-backed shrike, a black woodpecker, or to observe the sculpin, the ciliated and pneumonium gentian or the marsh epipactis.
