Le Montcharlet

A place of pilgrimage and hiking, the Montcharlet dominates Chiddes. At its summit, the 21-metre high reinforced concrete monument houses a 2.75-metre high Virgin and Child. An orientation table has also been installed and offers a clear view of the Morvan hills.
Nowadays, the pilgrimage takes place on a Sunday, around the 8th of September, date of the Nativity of Mary.
