At the start of the loop, you can admire the imposing, massive 12th-century Château de Chaintré, surrounded by terraces of pruned yew trees and English-style parkland. After a small balcony road offering beautiful panoramic views of the Alps, you pass close to the Château de Vinzelles, made up of the 17th-century Château de Layé and, just above it, the Vieux Château, a remarkable 11th-century building.
