Departing from the wash-house and the church, this loop runs quietly through the surrounding countryside. It leads first west to the Marverat wood, the site of the old carbonarias, clearings where charcoal was once made; then east to the tower and orientation table on the heights of the Saint-Martin-Belle-Roche limestone quarries. The route offers beautiful panoramic views of the village of Clessé, Mont Saint-Romain, the Saône plain and the Alps.
