Near Beaune, Le Charlemagne surprises with its gourmet cuisine, from Burgundy to Japan! The chef invites you to dine on his generous, culturally diverse recipes, in a décor where Zen blends with sophistication.

The successful marriage of Asian and Burgundian cuisine

Chef Laurent Peugeot combines cultures by addressing flavour and texture in his cuisine from the Michel starred restaurant (2012), Le Charlemagne, in Pernand-Vergelesses.

After working in the great establishments of the region (including the Maison Lameloise) and spending four years in Japan, this artisan of great taste has returned with a head full of original and inspired recipes, such as:

  • tempura Burgundian snails with glazed daikon, wakame and garlic petals;

  • Mont Blanc snowflakes, cream and chestnut spaghetti, frosted with quince with orange blossoms and mango flakes.

For a unique gourmet experience, allow yourself to be guided by the chef and his flavoursome menu of culinary creations, made up of six dishes, a cheese board and a dessert.

A Zen atmosphere amongst the vineyards.

7km from Beaune, Le Charlemagne opens its doors to you for a gourmet, exotic experience. The restaurant mixes wood and stone for an elegant and pure design.

The little Zen garden stands next to the small, very intimate lounge, as well as the dining room and its panoramic view of the surrounding vineyards. Upon request, you can also lunch or dine in the kitchen, in the company of the chef and his brigade, for a unique experience of sharing and exchanging everything to do with haut cuisine.

Every Saturday, by reservation, the chef gives a cooking class on a particular topic (foie gras, sea bream…)
