Earthenware and Autumn form a beautiful marriage in which the beauty of the works echoes the frag...
Although blue has made Nevers earthenware famous, autumn is a season when master artists let their creativity run riot, mixing red ochre and fire pigments to create works that capture the gentle, soothing atmosphere of autumn.
Faïencerie Georges: two green bows since 1898! Carole Georges and Jean-François Dumont are carrying on the family tradition for the fourth generation. Entirely manufactured and decorated in their workshop, each piece is the result of the heritage of know-how that has made Nevers earthenware famous: modelling the clay, firing the biscuit at 1,060°C, glazing, decorating on raw glaze and high-firing.
Carole and Jean-François are constantly renewing the tradition, whether by reviving old pieces from a century-old collection or by opting for a more contemporary approach to shapes and decorations.
The signature of the modeller, a knot engraved in the clay, and that of the decorator, two green knots, certify the originality of each earthenware piece produced in the Georges earthenware workshop.
