The Climats experience begins with a historical presentation of the Château de la Crée, founded in 1431 by Nicolas Rolin (Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy) and the cultural wealth of the village of Santenay (Gallo-Roman remains, monasteries, Montagne des Trois Croix...).
We will then visit the 1.5 hectare Clos du Château vineyard, planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Together, we'll talk about Burgundy classification and the importance of terroir through a landscape reading.
We'll talk about the specific characteristics of the Santenay appellation and Château de la Crée, not forgetting how to tend the vines.
Then it's time to descend into our 15th-century vaulted cellars. There, you'll be able to enjoy 6 of the estate's wines accompanied by 3 hors d'oeuvres in a guided, interactive tasting session.
