"We needed a place that reflected both the personality of our parents, the history of wine-growing Burgundy, the preservation of heritage and a place with a strong identity. "
A visit to the cellar and tastings hand-sewn like the house wines. A place like no other, between renovation and architectural creation, a garden like in the days of the Ursulines.
An extension of the city to the vineyard, the new Jean-Claude Boisset winery is a natural and unprecedented part of the wine heritage. This building is the physical and spiritual extension of the former Ursuline convent which lived here until the Revolution. Entirely dedicated to the development of couture wines, it was born with the 2018 harvest. The fruit of a reflection carried out for several years by the family, this winery includes the reception and vinification of the grapes, the aging in barrels, the bottling process.
Created in 1961, and family owned, the Maison Jean-Claude Boisset signs bottles born in Burgundy, mainly in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, in a natural style; straight, precise, silky and resolutely fruity wines. Originalities and nuggets make up a collection of around forty hand-sewn cuvées in limited edition inspired by the mosaic of Burgundy climates.
