In February 2019, the new fourth generation will take over the family business, which currently comprises 14 hectares of vines. Jeanne Joillot, Jean-Luc's daughter, Simon Goutard, his son-in-law, and Grégoire Guidot, his son-in-law, are carrying on the tradition while modernising the estate.

As of the 2019 vintage, and in tribute to Jean-Luc's father, "Domaine Jean-Luc Joillot" has been renamed "Domaine Georges Joillot". An identity is reborn and a new style of wine is created.
