Autumn in Burgundy is a veritable symphony of flamboyant colours.
The vines, changing from golden yellow to ruby red, create a landscape of striking beauty. As the harvest draws to a close, the cellar is buzzing with activity as the harvested grapes are vinified and the next vintages prepared. Come and visit our estate and discover the secrets of wine-making. Take part in a tasting of our different wines and be surprised by the aromas and flavours. You can also enjoy a walk or cycle ride.
A wine estate since 1585, Château de la Greffière is located in La Roche Vineuse, between Mâcon and Cluny.
Our wines are produced in 8 villages of South Burgundy and Cru du Beaujolais. The different white wines made from the Chardonnay grape variety will reveal all the richness of Mâcon La Roche Vineuse and Saint Véran. Bourgogne Aligoté, Bourgogne "Pinot noir", Macon Serrières, and Saint Amour, and others will complete the range. No less than 19 wines will be offered at the estate.
With an electrically-assisted bike, anyone can tackle the lanes that wind up through the Mâconnais vineyards. After a short ride, the panoramic views unfurl, the relief comes into full view and the vineyard of Château de la Greffière beckons you. Your efforts are rewarded with a tour of the Château’s vaulted wine cellars and perhaps even a picnic in the vineyard!

Vine and Wine Museum open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 11.30am and 2pm to 5.30pm.
Guided tours of the cellars at 10.30am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
Groups of 15 or more are welcome by prior arrangement.
