Enjoy exploring the museum in peace...
Nestled in its natural setting, the Bibracte Museum offers visitors the calm of the late season!
Bibracte is the name of an ancient Gallic town on Mount Beuvray, capital of the Eduens, one of the most powerful peoples of Gaul. In the museum, you will discover the daily life of its inhabitants and other Celtic peoples of the 2nd and 1st centuries BC. Discover, through objects from excavations, models, reconstructions and audiovisuals, their crafts, their agriculture, their trade, but also their religion, their art and their culture. Come and see for yourself that these people were much less barbaric than Caesar would have us believe... The museum also has temporary exhibition rooms, a splendid bookshop, a tea room and a restaurant serving Gallic cuisine.
