The first day
The morning and lunchtime
Begin with a walk around the Saut de Gouloux, a classfied site with special scenery and a famous waterfall, making it a favourite with nature lovers.
Combined with the golden brown autumn colours of the forest, it is the ideal place to stop for a magical picnic.
The afternoon
Visit the Marchand establishments, a company of clog makers that has been passed down through generations. Nowadays, visitors can learn how the bases for our Christmas trees are made, as well as packaging, plant pots and wooden chalets. Woodworking at its best!
Night
At the heart of Morvan Regional Natural Park, in a lush-green setting, the Alain Marchand chalets are wonderful, very comfortable and spacious. The large windows let the natural sunlight stream in, and from the bright living area, you'll have a view of the private fishing ponds, where you might just catch a glimpse of a trout or carp searching for food.
The second day
The morning
Get on your bikes! After hiring city bikes from the Tourist Office, set off along the Lac des Settons trail: 15 km of pure joy in a mysterious place, in the shade of the forests and woodland filled with red and golden tints, where you'll come across a dam, little islands and local bird species.
For those who would prefer to stay at the lake a while longer, the Activital leisure complex offers water sports, suitable for everyone. Whether you prefer to drift along slowly on a paddle board or go for an outing on a canoe or kayak, or let the wind lead the way on a catamaran or a windsurf. There's something for everyone!
Lunchtime
At lunchtime, hire a canoe and go for a picnic on the lake with En-K-Noé. A picnic hamper with all the region's best products for an enjoyable moment with family or friends, either on your canoe or on the water's edge, the choice is yours!
