Corbigny is a charming little town situated between the Morvan and the Canal du Nivernais. Corbigny is a stopover for pilgrims on their way from Vézelay to Santiago de Compostela.
Corbigny is a town steeped in history, with its monuments including the Abbey, the church of Saint-Seine and the Emerald monument, as well as historic buildings such as the Tour de la Madeleine.
Situated in the heart of a cattle-breeding region, there is a clock market every Monday morning.
The town has two cultural centres (La Transverse and Abbaye de Corbigny) as well as numerous shops.
The town's calendar is marked by a number of important events, including the annual flea market in August.
The regional produce market is held every Friday morning in the Grande Rue, and the fair is held on the second Tuesday of each month on the fairgrounds and in the Grande Rue.
There are also a number of footpaths for exploring the surrounding area.
