A small, shady site with an original rock for the region (sculpted sandstone limestone). The sandstone nature of the rock means you need to be very careful about its solidity (especially after long days in the rain). The equipment is generally excellent, consisting of plates and 12mm expansion bolts. The anchors are often close together, making lead climbing accessible to as many people as possible.
The main attraction of this crag is its easterly aspect, so you can climb in the shade on summer afternoons and evenings.
After your climbing session, don't miss the opportunity to have a drink at Papyllon, the excellent and friendly beer bar along the green route.
