How about a cycling trip in the Val de Gray?
Here are our favourite routes to enjoy a sunny day!
"Along the Saône: the Voie Bleue
There is nothing like the Voie Bleue for a green and peaceful ride. This itinerary linking Lyon to Luxembourg offers you a journey by bike along the water's edge. The ideal circuit for the curious, the gourmets and the lovers of beautiful encounters close to nature.
"On a bike you drink water, on land you drink beer.
Starting from Rigny (or any other village on the route for that matter), embark on a 47km loop through the lower Saône valley. A varied circuit which will sometimes take you to 19th century wash houses, sometimes to a bison farm.
On the way, don't forget to stop for a tasting at the craft brewery "La Rente Rouge" in Chargey-les-Gray. A friendly, family-run place where Mathieu will be delighted to show you his trade and, above all, his good beers.
"The head in the handlebars and the feet in the water
Just like the previous loop, you can start it from any of the villages along the route. But we strongly recommend that you start from Valay, in order to reach Pesmes halfway along the route and to make a stop there to discover its old stones and then to refresh yourself on its "Ile de la Sauvageonne" on the river bank.
The little break in +: Take a break at Ile Art (Malans) and discover the thirty or so works of art
exhibited along a path in the forest.
