Parc et jardin du Château d'Époisses
A double enclosure of fortifications surrounding 15th century houses, a dovecote of 3000 boxes, and a 12th century church. The castle is flanked by large towers and surrounded by a moat. Inside, in a 17th and 18th century decor, you can admire many portraits of famous people, Mme de Sévigné, the Prince de Condé... whose memory Epoisses keeps.
The flowery park, laid out in terraces and flowerbeds after the Revolution, offers beautiful views of the château. A bed of 500 rosebushes in the main courtyard, a green, gold and silver garden, a mixed border in flower from June to October.
