Parc des Lavandières

The Parc des Lavandières, with an area of about 1.3 ha, is located at the northern entrance of the town of Maillot. At this point, the river "la Vanne" splits into two arms surrounding the park to offer a rural and forest animation. An old wash house, restored by the commune, contributes to the beauty of the site.
Nesting boxes have been installed by the Yonne League for the Protection of Birds. The management of this park scrupulously respects nature. Mowing has replaced mowing to encourage the introduction of local species. Pruning is done in autumn so as not to disturb the birds' biological cycle.
