Garden laid out on the former castle of Charolles offering a beautiful panorama on the city. Charolles was the capital of the county of Charolais until the Revolution. Built on a rocky escarpment, its castle, attested as early as the 10th century, was heavily modified in the 15th century by the Dukes of Burgundy, who were Counts of Charolais. The circular tower, built under Charles the Bold (15th century) and named after the duke, is one of the rare elements of the castle still in existence.
