Palais ducal XVème siècle

The construction of the Ducal Palace was begun by Jean de Clamecy, a member of the Duke of Burgundy's family, in the 15th century. The sculptures adorning the two octagonal turrets and the central tower are dedicated respectively to the legend of Saint Hubert, to the fabulous ancestor of the House of Cleves, Helias (the Swan Knight) and to the heraldic arms of the Counts and Dukes of Nevers
