Massage bien-être cheval Cluny
As a breeder of donkeys and horses for 20 years in Cluny in the Saône et Loire region, I have always provided the best care for the well-being of my animals, thanks to my practices and those of my partners. I am also lucky enough to have entrusted my breeding for its sanitary follow-up to a veterinary practice that is always anxious to analyse a problem in its globality man/animal!
After several years of welcoming trainees in an animal osteopathy school, I was trained in massage therapy in an equine balneotherapy centre on well-being practices and ethological fundamentals. For this training, I benefited from the support of a sensitive veterinarian who practiced kinesiology on all my animals for a long time. He is now retired and I thank him for his constant advice, as I am still training in animal kinesiology until the end of July 2023...
Thus, the kindness of my sessions leads the horse to an attitude of relief.
I am present at many equestrian events in Cluny such as Equivallée competitions, Cluny Attelage events, and horse races.
I travel within a 50 km radius. Beyond that, please contact me.
But what are the benefits of my sessions on horses?
Massage therapy prepares and stimulates before the effort, and releases tensions and muscular contractures after the effort.
Algotherapy regenerates and relaxes thanks to a wrap that is left on for a soothing moment in case of arthritis or great fatigue.
Bach flowers manage emotions in the event of a change in lifestyle or stress associated with certain situations (e.g. transport, new people...)
Massage is a complement to veterinary and alternative medicine, which is based on several fundamental notions including anatomy, careful palpation, listening to the animal's needs, ethology, but above all benevolence.
It intervenes on the soft tissues (skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc...)
During a session, an encounter and a connection are established through the contact of an intelligent hand detecting the potential presence of contractures, heat, volumes and sensitivities.
This is where trust is established.
The specific gestures of the massage trigger mechanisms in the body of a mechanical, thermal and informative nature. These mechanisms allow the body to prepare for work, to recover or simply to relax.
They will also help to improve flexibility, mobility and proprioception (= perception of the body's position in space) in daily life, but also performance, which makes it accessible to all.
During the massage, the horse/donkey presents an attitude that tends towards relaxation.
In addition, I can recommend a beneficial blend of essential oils to be applied by the owner on the indicated areas.
- Algotherapy works by means of a seaweed wrap specific to the horse/donkey's needs.
It consists of a rice sheet blanket and a remineralising seaweed mixture.
It is a technique used in cases of osteoarthritis, fatigue after a season of hard work or even on retired individuals. It aims to remineralise tired muscle areas.
Attention: it requires a suitable place with a shower for rinsing (preferably warm to hot water). It is necessary to rest for 24 hours after the session.
- Thermotherapy is an excellent way of ridding the body of all its impurities and supplying it with minerals. This method uses heat and/or cold.
By cold: the cryogen. It is used ONLY on the TENDONS.
It relieves discomfort and relaxes the tendons by lowering the temperature by 10 degrees, which replaces the cold water shower.
Hot: heated sea mud.
This is a treatment based on seaweed, clay and marine sediment.
It has a stimulating effect on the body while relaxing the muscles.
Please note: these methods require a suitable place with a shower for rinsing.
These techniques encourage the circulation of good energy for a recuperative effect.
- The Bach Flower Remedies are recognised for managing emotions during periods of change or unexpected events (new work environment, transport stress, change of companions, etc.).
This practice consists of preparing a careful mixture of Bach Flower extracts according to the temperament of your horse/donkey.
It is useful to stress that you know your horse/donkey best.
* The veterinarian remains the only person who can treat your animal!
During your stay in Cluny with your horse, let yourself be carried away by the desire to offer him a moment of well-being!
