Maison Christian et Yvonne Zervos

A landscape, architectural and cultural site on the edge of the Madeleine woods, the Zervos' house, acquired in 1937, offers a wide panorama over Vézelay. The contemporary architecture of the house, designed by the architect Badovici, bears witness to the modernity of the Zervos. The house of the creator of the Cahiers d'Art was a place of passage for artists of the 20th century, including Picasso, Léger, Eluard, Char... The Association Fondation Zervos, Maison des Critiques d'Art, has continued to base its cultural activities on contemporary creation. Events are organised throughout the year: artists' and writers' residencies, colloquia, publications, conferences, screenings and readings related to art criticism.
