The tourist offer around the port of la Jonction is being expanded with the launch of small flat-bottomed electric boats, for trips of 1 to 7 people on the Canal Latéral à la Loire.
Nevers Agglomération, which is responsible for the project, is offering 3 rental options for a leisurely cruise at a speed of 8 km/h. :
- A day trip to the Guétin canal bridge and back (€100 for 1 to 4 people, €120 for 5 to 7 people);
- A half-day trip to Plagny and back (€60 for 1 to 4 people, €80 for 5 to 7 people);
- By the hour (€30 for 1 to 4 people, €50 for 5 to 7 people).
Accessible without a specific licence, piloting by an adult requires a short training session of a quarter of an hour to become familiar with the boat, before setting sail.
