After having worked for more than 5 years at ALTER ECO, on the organic fair trade tea and coffee sectors, and then 2 years at CLIPPER Teas (still in the organic fair trade sector, you can't do it again!), I decided to continue to promote the incredible coffees that I discovered during my trips to the cooperatives. "Incredible" you say? Yes, because LE REPAIRE only works with organic specialty coffees. This means that they have been selected and recognised for their taste. If they are so good, it's mainly thanks to the hard work of the producers, who try to make the specificities of their land speak for themselves. Then, through my artisanal roasting, I make sure to respect them and to exacerbate their aromas.
The flowers then came into the picture when I learned that more than 85% of the flowers sold in France are imported from abroad... And not only from Holland, but from other continents (Ethiopia, Kenya, Ecuador, Colombia)*. Worse still, up to 25 chemicals banned in Europe have been found on these imported flower bouquets!**
The last straw was to learn that the number of horticulturists in France has been divided by 10 in 40 years. I thought that we should be able to offer something else: simple and cheerful seasonal bouquets made from local flowers and foliage.
