Le cadran à double-face
The sundial, called "the Meridian", has two sides, which is very rare. The "dark side" can only mark 4, 5 and 6 o'clock in the morning, and 6, 7 and 8 o'clock in the evening, during the summer season, when the sun, in its apparent course, goes far towards the north-east and the north-west, at the beginning and the end of the day. This face bears the inscription: "Let us fear the all-seeing eye". This sundial dates from 1790.
