La Porte du Croux
It is in the heart of the old "Faïenciers" district that you will find the last vestiges of Nevers' medieval wall, including the Porte du Croux, a fine example of military architecture rebuilt in the last years of the 14th century. It combines the concept of a gate-tower placed in front of the wall and that of a master-tower, a symbol of the city welcoming visitors

The outside of the Porte du Croux can be seen all year round. The inside is only accessible during Archaeological Museum opening hours.
