Château et Ferme de Dumphlun
In the heart of the Nièvre, on the Nevers-Chinon road, Dumphlun castle was a stronghold fought over during the Hundred Years War. During the Renaissance, it became a lordly residence under the impetus of the old Nièvre families, notably the Anlezy and La Perrière families, ancestors of the Marshal of Vauban.
Surrounded by monumental farm buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries, this site is also a fine example of Nivernais agricultural activity from the 14th century to the present day. Listed as a Historic Monument since 1980, the Château stands on a promontory offering a beautiful view of the hedged farmland and forests of the Amognes
