Chateau de Saint- Loup-Nantouard
This first fortress was built in 1292 by Eudes de Fouvent to protect the ford of the Morthe river. The numerous wars that ravaged Franche-Comté destroyed it repeatedly, but it was always rebuilt and still inhabited. It was reworked between the seventeenth and nineteenth century. The main works are due to Baron de Klinglin and the family of Menthon, owner since 1832. This family, whose Savoyard origins go back to the 10th century, has always been associated with the history of Franche-Comté. You will also discover a collection of mini crèches and puppets presented by a passionate.
