The Castrum Lordo association and its volunteers work every Thursday to preserve this site, which was once one of the most important châteaux in Burgundy, closely linked to the history of the Abbey of Cluny.
Demolished in 1632 by mines, while deliberately preserving Jacques d'Amboise's ceremonial hall, the jeu de paume and the stables, the remains of the castle were undoubtedly used as farm buildings for the monks until the French Revolution.
A visit to the château requires good mobility and walking shoes.
Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a lead.
