For seven centuries in the same lineage, the Chateau de Commarin was re-installed during the 18th century by the Marquise d'Antigny, grand-mother of the well-known bishop, the Prince de Talleyrand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of France under Napoleon. Commarin is known for its beautiful decorative collection, with its unique set of family heraldic tapestries, of the early 16th century, the beauty of its works of arts and furniture, and the richness of its 17th and 18th century decoration, which are the lively testimony of the generations who lived in.
