Chartreuse Notre Dame du Val Saint-Jean de Basseville

In the hollow of the Yonne valley, in the natural and wild site of the rocks of Basseville, appears the Charterhouse Notre Dame du Val Saint-Jean.
Since 2010, and with the help of the Drac and the Regional Council of Burgundy, the current owner has been carrying out a long and patient restoration and revaluation of the building and the garden. With the creation of a conservatory orchard and a vegetable garden "hortus conclusus" the garden will regain its original function.
The Charterhouse is open to visitors in summer.
