
Centre d'interprétation du Château de Châteauneuf
The château is a jewel of mediaeval architecture in Burgundy. It stands at the heart of an unspoilt village overlooking thevalley and the Burgundy Canal. The 12th century square keepis surrounded by living quarters built three centuries later bythe most famous of Châteauneuf's owners, Philippe Pot, Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece, counsellor to the Dukes of Burgundy and seneschal to king Louis XI. In 2023 the castle is exceptionally closed for works from 1 January to 1 May. Reopening on 2 May 2023.
