Remarkable civil building
Café des Chiens
In the mid-19th century, Augustin Husson, a lemonade maker, bought an old building from Joseph Viardot, a gunsmith. This building came from a rich family of Savoisy, the Guilleminot Varet. He then built a café with his talent as a sculptor and woodturner to create a remarkable façade that is admired by many tourists every year. This is not his only work as he also created the naiad in the Laigne basin and the spinner on his mother's grave. Anna Verrière took over in 1895 and the establishment was renamed "Café des Chiens".
