Brinon-sur-Beuvron
Brinon-Sur-Beuvron, a former county town, has undergone many changes over the years. It is a pretty village situated in the green valley of the Beuvron.
During your visit, you will find the Castle built by the Rabutin family in the 15th century (private residence closed to visitors), the
(private residence closed to visitors),
the 16th century Church of Saint-Etienne and numerous old houses with their Mansard roofs.
The characters of Brinon: the presence of Louis de Jaucourt who worked a lot with Diderot on the Encyclopaedia in the 18th century and, closer to us, that of Paul Faucher who created the albums of Père Castor (1943 - 1946).
Around the village there are numerous hiking trails to discover the surrounding area.
Market day: Every Sunday morning a lovely farmers' market is held in the village hall.
The village offers many services: bakery, grocery shop, pharmacy, bar, caterer, gas station ....
Every year, the village comes alive for the Festival des Petites Rêveries in June.
