The former Augustinian Convent, listed as a Historic Monument since 1977, retains several remains dating from the 16th to 19th centuries (caryatid window, moulded cornices, oculus, mullioned window, monumental fireplace...).
Located in Burgundy, on the banks of the Loire, the museum presents two distinct collections: the testimony of numerous human activities related to one of the largest rivers in Europe, as well as a collection of modern paintings.
Its collections are presented in a remarkable setting: the city's former Augustinian convent and its adjoining guardhouse. Dating from the 17th century, both are listed as historical monuments.
