After a month of closure in March 2018, the Château de Saulon la Rue reopens with a new decoration going upmarket

In addition to the renovation of the rooms and the noble rooms around an architectural concept carried out by Rinck, a Parisian decorator since 1841, the hotel establishment offers a whole new way of operating: an atmosphere of a family home full of life, short circuits to supply the kitchens, vegetable and fruit gardens...

A true tribute to its terroir, underlined by the teams of Rinck, creator of the new design of the interiors: "We had to find in this superb place an atmosphere of a castle passed down from generation to generation, where over the centuries, each person would have left a little of his or her DNA in the decoration of the rooms. "

To achieve this, nothing was left to chance: period regional furniture sourced from antique dealers in the region, engravings of Dijon and Burgundy in the 18th century, a colourful bias, carpets and tapestries with patterns.... The large lounges, bar and winter garden have been given an elegant orientation with the addition of woodwork inspired by Scandinavian castles, both chic and simple, and a ceiling with mouldings and elaborate cornices. The walls are in cool pastel tones, as elegant as they are timeless
The renovation does not mark a break in the life of the hotel, which has kept its management team, assisted by 40 employees, but rather offers a setting for a deepening of hotel know-how towards a more upmarket service.

The establishment now offers 32 rooms divided between the main building and the outbuildings, as well as three large conference rooms adapted to all needs, including two lounges in the castle with natural light. A bar, a glass roof, a lounge and a library complete the main building, surrounded by 27 hectares of parkland, an outdoor heated swimming pool, a pleasure garden and a tennis court. A massage service is also available.

To enhance the stay of the guests of the castle, the gastronomic restaurant offers a cuisine that favours short circuits, as well as the productions of the orchards of the castle. As Burgundy is a must, the wine list lists more than a hundred references.
